World Of Warcraft: Altered Time
Chapter 8 - Aye Questing Wednesday March 1, 9:00 P.M.
(Unstable Mana Crystals Complete.)
(Troops have given your name to continue the quest. Those involved are returning to the nearest encampment.)
(Scouting Party has found Naga Statue upon request. Returning to base.)
"Good work on the report Ks," Azul said to no one really. He was getting ready to leave when a call came for him. It was Demona. Spending a few minutes in conversation with her, he finally left. Stepping away from the guard tower, he moved back to the others. "Two people we need to speak with before heading to the spire. We can make it there a little bit after nightfall." With that, the trio moved out.
"Why the Spire? It is almost destroyed. It hasn't provided a defense in years. In fact, I remember it was malfunctioning." Arion said in wonder. "There are Wraiths that gather around the area. Also, a place where a few Wretched gathered when desperate."
"Desperate how exactly?" Azul asked intrigued. Clenching his fist tightly to get a grasp on the small increase in physical strength.
"The Spire has leaking mana. If you are willing to risk fighting those said Wraiths. Most Wretched didnt have the strength to do so anymore."
"Leaking mana.." Azul pondered before checking with Ks on the location of the Spire. It made short work of the map that has been unlocking as troops moved out.
(Adventures are completing a quest to head in that direction.)
"Apprentice Mirveda you want to cure the Dead Scar yes?" It was late at night, but the trio were happy the woman was a night owl. They did not want to wait until the morning. Azul stared at the lithe Blood Elf. 'Why does she remind of someone? I dont remember people! Ehhh am I get my memories back from Earth? Hmm, things to check on.' Running a mental spell on himself a few names popped up. He looked back at the elf. More than anything she was a very studious young Elf, but damn did she rock a Lara Croft vibe. "I will help you change it if you join me." Making an offer another thing starts to pop up. 'Who the hell Nathan Drake? A male tomb raider?'
"Lord Sunstrider, I am honored. If you are truly him, I see no reason to not join you. However, that remains to be seen." Mirveda looked at Azul judging him every which she could. Azul didnt flinch or hide as he moved under her gaze. Allowing her to run little magicks on him. "If you can cure the Dead Scar you should do it for the people. Surely someone of your stature would."
"So that's a no then," Azul said with a smile. "He looked to his two companions and started to leave. "See you another time then." He waved at the mage. Walkling along down the spire he mumbled. "Why the hell are all the Elves clothing so form-fitting? How the heck is a man suppose to keep his thoughts focus! Tight assess and buxom c.h.e.s.t everywhere. Both men and women. So much bloody cleavage."
"He, hehe," Arion started chuckling. "Forgive me, Lord!" He said once he realized how rude he had been. "But it also the environment. The area is generally hot. And the clothing magic users have to wear doesnt really breath well." Looking at Nocturne his eyebrow picked up. "Why are you not sweating?"
"Good question," Nocturne said looking to Azul.
"The clothes I design are made for slight comfort and high combat," Azul said stopping. "No point in any of our people getting exhausted easily. Also, you do sweat. But the magic pulls it into the clothing and reuses it to help your bodies to stay regulated. Dead skins cells are collected as well. They are used to reinforce the clothing."
"I could have done without knowing that," Arion said pulling the cloth from his c.h.e.s.t. "Sniff, sniff," He gave a few smell checks. "It just smells like me. Not musty are anything else. Man, you did a great job with these."
"You are acting way to familiar," Nocturne said.
"It is fine. I dont mind much. Relax it is just us. When we are not in official areas and the like, act freely. If you dont, consider it a good way for me to dislike you." Azul waved offhandedly. What would one expect from a former denizen of Hell?
"Very well." Arion happily said. "You are not like most nobles. You talk with anyone and everyone. You definitely say what's on your mind. If more Nobles were like you, we might have a less negative view."
"Maybe," Azul shrugged surprising the two. "Dont think to much on it. Just enjoy the life I say. It is way too short, considering all that we have to do and deal with."
"That is true my Lo... That is true Azul." Nocturne started to say but took the advice. So we are taking a more natural approach with one another? I like it."
The trio made it out of the spire to the base of the sanctum. They didnt know Apprentice Mirveda heard everything they said. "Should I have gone with him?" Thinking to herself, she shook the notion away. "No, for now, he is an unknown element. Despite my blood telling me he is true. He definitely has royal blood. I must send word to the capital." Weaving a spell she conjured a scroll containing the conversation. Calling for a Dragon Hawk Rider she passes the scroll on. "Make sure this gets in the right hands. Matter of fact, here is a 100gold to make sure. This is too important."
"More ways to stop the Dead Scar?" The rider asked as he fastened the scroll.
"No, and yes." Mirveda shook her head contemplatively. "This will be my last gamble. If it doesn't work out, I am done with this place. Aeldon Sunbrand can have this place and the duties that come with it." The rider eyes went wide as he took flight. Heading from the ledge Mirveda was intrigued about the group of Blood Elves that entered. A group of five she never saw before. She watched as they removed there magical pouches and did some trading. They bought potions and foodstuff and left as quickly as they came. "Didnt even stay to rest?" She thought it was odd considering the time.
"Apprentice Mirveda come quickly!" The Trader called. "You have to see this!" The man was very excited. Heading down Mirveda had to compose herself. She was getting excited for some strange reason.
"What is it?" She asked.
"The goods the adventures brought. It is Dead sand or Fel soil. Were you not looking for this? We have a lot of samples now." The Trader knew he was getting ready to make a good bit of gold from her.
"Unless it is at least 20 pounds it is no good." She shook her head ruefully. The excitement dying down.
"How about 300 pounds?"
"What?!" Apprentice Mirveda stood mouth agape. "Take an Iou maybe?" She said to the Trader. Her gold just went to the messenger.
"Sure." The Trader was surprised but agreed none the less. She was good for it. Not like anybody else would buy it.
"Where to now?" Nocturne asked. She was surprised Azul was not upset in any way.
(Quest ready to proceed.) Ks intoned to Azul.
"To Ley-Keeper Velania. After a quick stop and taking care of some intruders." Azul said calmly. "I am going to have to do some groundwork to build up trust. Which I dont mind. We are the appropriate level after fighting all the undead we came across. It should be easy to deal with the 'Intruders' now anyway. As well as open new avenues for us."
"To add them to Ks, replenishing our forces and taking out the enemy," Nocturne said thoughtfully.
"As well as pass the knowledge onto me. Or the way it was to me right?" Arion said. He was becoming smarter and quicker on the uptake of things.
"Correct," Azul said smiling. These two were fun to hunt mobs with. As well they opened up after gaining a little strength. Arriving at an outpost they set up it was time they restocked. He checked on the conversion and noticed it needed more power. Mana he would not relinquish. Azul already had used up too much as it was. Looking and seeing the others were ready he started to expand the gate/wall a few 80 feet. The mana in the area would be used instead once again. It would be slow but worthwhile.
"We are heading back to West Sanctum towards FalconWing Square. Seeing the two ready, he used a quick portal that was set up in the base. The cooldown was 8 hours but it was a start.
"Bwoom," The trio landed outside West Sanctum then started walking towards Falcon Wing square. The guards only showed acknowledgment as Azul waved at them. Finishing the chain of quests earlier brought the information back to light. Going out of order felt odd. Without the events triggering he did not receive all the info. It was better to go through the motions. As well as looking back it, showed a better reputation increase.
It didnt take long as they arrived by sprinting. Using mana to supplement them. A good way to train. Especially for Azul who needed to increase his mana capacity for the future. Arion needed to learn his control better with mana and Nocturne need to increase her stamina.
"Huff, huff," Nocturne gasped for air when they stopped. Looking up she noticed the twos gaze on her. Arion kept looking to the side with his cheeks slighter red. Azul just unwavering stated at her. His eyes traveling up and own her body. She looked over her clothes to make sure nothing was amiss. Finding nothing she had to ask. "What is it?"
Arion turned away and decided it was time to scout. That was his job. "I will look around." Darting off like an arrow, he was gone. The other two still knew where he was relatively since they were partied together.
"You are staring," Nocturne said.
"Yes. You are very beautiful. Breathing heavy like that.. is quite the sight." Azul stepped forward and touched her cheek washing magic over her. In an instant, she was dry and clean. "That is much better. A hardworking woman is quite the sight still. Definitely retaining that for my memories." Looking outward to the left, Azul started searching for anyone else present.
"Master.. you. You are attracted to me yes?" Nocturne felt bold and stepped close to him. Her b.r.e.a.s.t to his c.h.e.s.t. "Then why haven't you taken me?"
"Easy...waiting for you to retain yourself. Gain your confidence back. Remember I saw what happened to you and the other Wretched. You are still not as you were before. As well with the removal of the demoness, your confidence is lacking. The same as Arion and the other wretched turned back."
"I will strive to get better faster," Nocturne said.
"Huh? Ah, you misunderstood me. Take your time. Finding oneself again takes time. Trust me, I have definitely been there before. I have no problem waiting for the good things in life." Azul stretched and looked at the sky. "But be warned. I am possessive and an a.s.s."
"Haha Yes, I can somewhat tell. Most Blood Elves are. But that is fine by me. Considering you caused that demoness to pass out, I can only imagine how you really are. Something tells me I will need the help." Nocturne beamed a brilliant smile. 'Life is exciting again, but only a little pressure. Never thought I would be happy that I didnt turn into a Wretched.' Her thoughts were becoming more positive and assured. 'Killing monsters, rebuilding our territory, learning and seeing new magic. Defintely worth it.'
"Oh, so you have been imagining things eh?" Azul said giving her a sideways look.
She became fl.u.s.tered and was about to say something till Arion returned.
"I found some Night Elves. An entire encampment. What do we do?" Arion said looking between the two.
"Well, first we go and greet them. Then if they place nice, we let them leave. If not we kill them. Very simple really." Azul said smiling at the young Elf. "Let's go."
Walking into the encampment he felt the general location of the elves. Some harder to pinpoint than others. The only visible person was a single Night Elf woman.
"Hello there!' Azul said walking up smiling. "So what are you doing here in Blood Elf territory? Uninvited I might add."
The elf was caught by surprise at his demeanor. She recovered quickly enough. "I am studying the Dead Scar. Trying to find a way to cure its effects on the land."
"Ah, is that all. That is quite something." Azul said and the elf stopped tensing. "You need to leave now though
You and your people. You are not permitted to work here on your 'research' you have."
"Surely you cant mean that!" The elf asked surprised. "Are you against us finding a way to cure your land?"
"It is taken care of already. Well in the process anyway." Azul looked around and spotted the others that came close due to the proximity and magic signature.
"Will you share it with us!" The elf asked. She looked nervous.
"What do my people get out of it?" Azul wouldn't mind trading considering foodstuff would help. Night Elves had that in abundance. "You tell the others to get out of hiding as well."
"Whistle," with a purse of her lips and two fingers the others popped out of stealth. All except three. One on each of them. "Can you explain how at least? Now that we are more upfront with one another"
"Very well," Azul explain that he was sapping the soil of the energy. Separating the fel energy into a container of sorts. He did not go into detail what he did or how the spell itself worked that was used. "That's the basics anyway."
"Thank you very much." The elf said satisfied. It wouldn't be hard to get others to come and find the secrets now with that hint. "You may go on your way now." She said dismissively. 'There were ways to do that? We have to take it from them! The forest must be saved and protected.'
