Thousand Characters

"Thousand Characters" was originally called "Ci Yun Wang Xizhi Book Thousand Characters", a long rhyme written by Zhou Xingsi in Liang Dynasty (502-549) in the Southern Dynasty.It is an article composed of a thousand non-repetitive Chinese characters.It is said that Emperor Wu of Liang took 470 characters written by Wang Xizhi and asked his relatives to practice calligraphy. Afterwards, he found it disorganized, so he ordered Zhou Xingsi (521-[-]) to compile it into an article.Thousand Characters is an important enlightenment book used to teach children basic Chinese characters. It is collectively called "Three Hundred Thousands" together with "San Zi Jing" and "Hundred Family Surnames".At the same time, it is also valued in the cultural circle of Chinese characters.
